650 Jersey Ave Jc, Downtown, NJ 07302

A rare Downtown Jersey City townhouse of striking presence, 650 Jersey Avenue offers four levels of beautifully renovated living just moments from Hamilton Park. Set on one of the neighborhoods most iconic and sought-after residential blocks, the home makes a memorable first impression with its handsome brick faade and extraordinary New Orleansinspired covered porch, wrapped in ornate wrought iron and framed by the romance of a classic historic streetscape. Behind the front door, a complete, high-caliber renovation has transformed this approximately 2,400-square-foot residence into an elegant yet highly livable home. Historic character and modern comforts are thoughtfully paired throughout: soaring ceilings, oversized windows, rich hardwood flooring, striking herringbone patterns, substantial millwork, marble fireplace mantels, decorative lighting, and beautifully proportioned rooms create an atmosphere that feels both polished and inviting. The ground floor is made for entertaining. A gracious formal dining room with a marble fireplace leads to a spectacular chefs kitchen, where a dramatic marble island anchors the space. Heated floors extend through the kitchen and dining area, while an exceptional appliance package includes a Wolf gas range, professional-style hood, Sub-Zero refrigerator, and wine refrigerator. Custom cabinetry, glass-front display cabinets, marble counters, and discreet built-in storage make the kitchen as functional as it is beautiful. A garden-facing door opens directly to the landscaped rear garden, making indoor-outdoor entertaining feel effortless. A conveniently located powder room completes this level. The second floor offers a dedicated living and entertaining level, with a formal living room and an inviting family room with another marble fireplace. A garden-facing door opens from the family room to the elevated deck, overlooking the private greenery below and providing a peaceful spot for morning coffee, afternoon reading, or an evening glass of wine. The two upper floors offer four generously scaled bedrooms, two on each level, along with two sophisticated full baths. The primary bedroom feels calm and private, while the additional bedrooms offer ample room for guests, a home office, or a dedicated exercise space. Bathrooms are finished in a timeless palette of marble, polished nickel, subway tile, mosaic flooring, custom cabinetry, and glass-enclosed bathing areas. The primary bath is particularly impressive, featuring a double vanity and an expansive marble shower with dual showerheads. Storage has been thoughtfully incorporated throughout, keeping the home as practical as it is polished. Hidden built-ins in the kitchen, a dedicated top-floor storage cupboard, a linen closet, and oversized closets in every bedroom provide generous space for everything from entertaining essentials to seasonal wardrobes, without compromising the homes clean lines and elegant interiors. The rear garden is a rare private escape in the heart of Historic Downtown. Equally suited to entertaining and quiet retreat, it includes mature landscaping, a brick-paver dining terrace, lounge area, lower patio, and raised deck with decorative iron railings. A sculptural spiral stair connects the outdoor levels, while the canopy of established greenery creates a wonderfully sheltered setting for long summer dinners and relaxed afternoons at home. With Hamilton Park around the corner and Grove Street, PATH service, restaurants, neighborhood cafs, boutiques, and everyday conveniences nearby, 650 Jersey Avenue offers the scale, craftsmanship, and outdoor living of an exceptional private townhouse, with Downtown Jersey City just beyond your doorstep.
